Abstract
Stem and leaves of Polypogon fugax Nees ex Steud in pre-flowering stages and the Item, leaves and inflorescence of this plant in flowering and post-flowerine stages were analysed for the estimation of minerals, amino-acids. Sugars and calorific value. More sucrose was accumulated in all the parts during different growing stages of the plant. The pre-flowering stage of Polypogon fugax conserves the highest amount of energy.
